Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (Jif or Peter Pan — do not use reduced fat)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Line at least 2 baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Cream butter until smooth. Add peanut butter and both sugars; beat until combined.
  3. Add eggs and beat well.
  4. Gradually stir in flour and baking soda until combined. Stir in chocolate chips by hand.
  5. Scoop small portions and drop 2 inches apart on parchment sheets.
  6. Bake about 15 minutes until just firm around the edges. Don't wait for browning on top — they'll be too hard.
  7. Slide parchment sheet (cookies and all) onto counter to cool. Repeat with remaining dough.

Notes

No flour = naturally almost flourless texture. Cookie tin → crisp; airtight plastic container → softer. Recipe by HeatherFeather, adapted from allrecipes.
